The Last Day in New York

We got up extra early so that we didn’t run out of time in the day however on a Sunday in New York, stores don’t really open until midday, but it was incredible to be standing on Fifth Avenue and the place was bare, it wasn’t bustling of people. It was so peaceful. I really appreciated it even more.

Lottie and I went to ground zero and century 21 in the morning, incredible.

We then went back to Fifth Avenue and went to the Sex and the City favourite Manolo Blahnik, which was really exciting, they had the shoes Carrie had worn in a glass cabinet, it was just a dream.

We later went to Saks, which was probably my favourite department store in New York, they actually had a sushi-like restaurant but with chocolate.

Back at the hotel we did our last minute packing and then waited for the coach to come to pick us up.

Next thing we were on the plane, I was pretty much shattered all that shopping and walking was beginning to catch up, so I fell instantly asleep on the plane, to my embarrassment with my mouth wide open, which everyone noticed, dear me but I did manage to wake up for my food!

Home again with an incredible experience under my belt, which will stay with me forever, one dream has been ticked off.
