Day One

The coach ride to Heathrow was amazing, ipod was on, literally I hadn’t pushed my earphones all the way into the ipod so my music was playing aloud, quite embarassing but thankfully it didn’t seem to wake anyone up.

The airport was HUGE!! I hadn’t seen anything like it, until I got to JFK that is.

I remember arriving and being extremely excited to hear the American accent.

Then we collected our luggage, the next thing I knew I saw lots of yellow cabs.

It was real I was in New York…….. wooooooooooooow

Some of the funniest moments were the bus journeys to and from the airport, I felt like I was on a rollercoaster.

I then caught glimse of myself and yuk, greasy hair not a good look on me hehe But who cared I had my camera out taking pictures on the coach and in the faint distance I could see Manhattan!!!

Then I had a bit of a drama on the coach, I lost my bowler hat somehow? Yet I wore it onto the coach and remembered taking it off to go into my bag, it was nowhere to be found, thankfully it was found underneath a seat. Drama Over. (Not mine might I add, I had looked there)

We then pulled up to the Walcott Hotel, the lobby was incredible. Then we went into our rooms, they were big. I looked out the windows, and it totally looked like the flat block on F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Lottie, Shelby and I were very hungry so we went on a mission around Manhattan looking for some yummy food.

What I couldn’t get over was that everyone was really helpful, when we looked lost people would try to point us in the right direction, one gentlemen told us about a lovely pizzeria, which he directed us to and we got there.

Walked inside and the smell will never leave me, it was gorgeous, an oaky smokey smell. A huge stone oven which the pizzas were being cooked in, and pizzas were served on butchers blocks with handles . The three of us all had the same Mozzerella, Tomato and Basil.

We got take out and had a feast in the hotel room and it was the nicest pizza EVER!

The TV was on and we were watching Grease, that’s the movie not my hair.

Ooo almost forgot, at the pizzeria we were asked if we wanted a soda, wooow hehe
